The inaugural Jazz Rhythm Section Day will feature a masterclass, performance, and Q&A session with award-winning and internationally acclaimed NYC jazz pianist Dan Tepfer and his trio (Rick Rosato, bass and Colin Stranahan, drums). Born in Paris to American parents, pianist-composer Dan Tepfer has translated his bi-cultural identity into an exploration of music that ignores stylistic bounds. The day will also include a masterclass, performance, and one-on-one time with School of Music jazz faculty Scott Routenberg (piano), Joel Tucker (guitar), Nick Tucker (bass), and Cassius Goens III (drums).
