This CD is dedicated to the great Brazilian pianist Manfredo Fest, mentor and friend, who selflessly taught me the timeless art of jazz piano.  Thanks for Matt McCaughan, the most versatile drummer I know, and John Brown, for effortlessly tackling my compositions and demonstrating his skill on bass.  Special thanks to Dale Powers, who introduced me to the piano and continues to inspire me with his many talents.  Thanks to Dr. Scott Warner and Jim Ketch for expanding my musical horizons and always providing inspiration and support: to Lili Fest, Fred and Gail Fearing, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Music Department and the Office of Undergraduate Research.  Last but definitely not least I would like to thank my parents for supporting all of my musical endeavors.
